The steam works comes in two part which can be connected together in different ways. This product has been discontinued by the Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Wooden Railway by Learning Curve and is no longer available. Repair and Go at the Sodor Steamworks! The Sodor Steamworks is ready for repairs! Lift the engines with the crane to do a thorough inspection. Visit the repair station to check the engine's oil and replace and test their wheels. After a visit to the Steamworks, the engines are ready to go! Adjustable layout with 3 ways to play. Join Thomas and Hiro as they pay a visit to the repair and go station at the Sodor steam works.The station is first introduced in the DVD movie, "hero of the rails". Use the wheel changer to update Hiro's wheels and use the wheel tester to ensure they are safe and turning smoothly. The wheel testers are rotated using the red handle and the wheel changer (spanner) is removable for all those jobs. Use the oiling station can - which empties and fills when you push the top - to create a smoother railway ride. For those larger repairs, place Hiro in the engine hoist.
The hoist is lifted using red lever. (the hoist needs two hands to lift as it sticks a little at the bottom but easy still for a child to do). This item is used but overall in great condition.
