This great engine& tender set is battery operated& is the perfect addition to any wooden railway Polar Express train set (we also have the starter set that we can list separately if needed). Simply flip a small switch to turn it on and then the buttons on top control it with a simple push- it goes in forward or reverse and even has a light on front that lights up while it is driving!

This connects to the other train cars and add on sets from this line magnetically and of course this means this engine& tender are also compatible with other Brio, Thomas & other brand wooden railway train cars! This allows you and your child to build the track, add this engine to the train and turn it on and watch it drive your wooden railway Polar Express train set! Better yet, the engine features extremely durable construction- largely strong plastic that means the engine doesn't get easily chipped up like many other wooden train cars often tend to (so this will stay looking great even after a lot of play time)!
