RARE Vintage 1997 TOMY Giant Set Thomas & Friends Tank Engine Storage Tunnel EUC

20.5 l x 7.75 w x 9.5 h. Super, super rare set 100% PARTS complete. For collectors there is no box or instructions.

Comes with everything seen in the photos! Since I could not find the original instructions, I looked at online photos for hours, but still could not get everything to fit smoothly until I used an extra TOMY long straight piece and then it fit. Please try to set it up the way I did using my listing photos, or if your lucky enough maybe you will find instructions online (I searched like crazy). It seemed to be a little unstable out of the main Thomas tunnel, under his head (you have to lift head to access the main tunnel), about every 10 passes the train would collapse the track because the photos online show a track piece that is sort of floating with no support, but I believe this is the way the tracks were supposed to be. Its important where you place the risers as this will provide stability in the right areas.

Either way all the pieces are present plus I included the extra piece I used. Set originally came with 3 trains: James with cattle car and black brake van, Diesel with milk and oil tanker, and Duck with S.

All are the really early forms of these characters and are super valuable on their own. The only real condition issue is a bubble that has formed under the decal on Thomass left side. You can try to reglue it, but I was afraid of tearing. Otherwise super clean and intact for over 20 years old. The sticker on top of Thomas was original where the company says dont ride on top of Thomas.

There are several areas of interaction, twist the smokestack and watch Thomass eyes move back and forth!!! There are 3 track sections that run through his body, 5 doors including the main rear one, 5 storage areas, the wheels turn and can be locked in place with a switch on the bottom (though I dont think the whole Thomas was meant to move that much, but I think many kids did as they usually are full of scratch marks on the bottom), there are 3 stop and go switches to stop the trains inside his body (I would be careful with the 2 bottom ones as they seem fragile), a push down whistle, etc. There are push levers on bottom one on front and back, they are meant to release the front and back doors (the doors seem to open without the lever, I just dont think a lot of engineering went into these). Please look up the YouTube videos on this to see everything in action with a video review. This is really one of the coolest Thomas items I have ever seen!! You probably wont ever come across another in this condition complete. The ones Ive seen always have serious damage, the blue is yellowing, missing doors, missing smokestack, missing tracks or trains, severely scratched on the bottom, etc. Tracks are real clean with none of the usual yellowing seen with TOMY products.

Everything you see here is included. I find fed ex ground sometimes turns out to be cheapest on these heavy items. BTW you probably have seen this item relisted twice as I had to deal with 2 non payers. I guess I made the mistake of accepting offers, as immediate pay is not required, and they just decided they didnt want to pay.
